When one mentions the word "investment" you probably think of commerce, finance, and stocks. However, investment can apply to many things. Children, for example, are the future. If we invest in them now, this will mean a more happy and productive tomorrow for everyone. That's why child care is one of the most important occupations in our society.
Children need constant care and supervision
The children of today are infinitely more sophisticated than the children of yesterday. They have larger vocabularies, more freedom, more skills, and better access to information. However, they are still children, and thus, they need constant child care.
Qualifications and certification
While the vast majority of people are qualified to take care of their own children, not many are qualified to take care of other people's kids. Taking courses in child care is essential if you want to pursue a career in this field. Not only must you supervise and monitor children's activities, but you should design instructional projects to keep them occupied and help them grow. Alas, the television is no longer considered an adequate babysitter.
According to the U.S. Department of Labor, child care occupations are expected to grow almost three times as quickly as the national average for other jobs. Working mothers and fathers no longer have the time to devote to constant rearing and supervision. As such, there will be great demand for qualified professionals who possess the requisite child supervision skills. If you have a longing to take care of children, you could not have picked a better time to join this growing industry.
