Project management workers develop requirements, budgets, and schedules for their company's various projects. These professionals also coordinate projects from the beginning of the development stage all the way through the final implementation. While they are doing this, project managers also work with clients, vendors, consultants, and computer specialists. In addition to these tasks, project management workers are involved in projects that upgrade the information security of the organization that they work for.
People who work in project management spend most of their workday in a regular office setting. The majority of these workers works at least 40 hours each week and may have to work weekends and/or evenings so that they can meet deadlines or help solve unexpected problems.
Required Education and Skills
Before you can even qualify for a job in project management, a bachelor's degree is usually required. In fact, many employers often prefer a graduate degree.
