Curriculum & Instruction

In a nutshell, curriculum & instruction are what teachers use when trying to educate students. The curriculum includes the lesson plan, materials, and books that educators use to open up students' minds and bring awareness and understanding. Instruction is the process by which this curriculum is applied. Some teachers enjoy lecture style classes where they do most of the talking. This is especially effective for math and science. Other teachers enjoy group participation where feedback and discussion are crucial components in the learning process. Certification in this field is necessary. For the vast majority of teaching positions, some type of formal training is required.
