Marketing managers are asked to work on numerous activities for companies in the areas of market research, marketing strategy, sales, advertising, promotion, pricing, product development and public relations. Specifically, marketing managers develop a company’s marketing strategy in detail. Most employers require marketing managers to have obtained a bachelor’s or master’s degree in business administration with a concentration in marketing. The completion of an internship is recommended, as well as courses in business, management, economics, finance, mathematics, statistics and accounting.
