Phlebotomy school bleeds Butte County students for $2,400

CHICAGO — A handful of Butte County phlebotomists who recently took an expensive course to become a phlebotomist said they wasted their time and money because the instructors weren’t licensed in California. If the phlebotomists ��� technicians who draw blood for laboratories, hospitals and blood banks ��� want to stay in California, their complaint is largely correct. According to officials with the California Department of Public Health, the business that provided the instruction, CSI School for Phlebotomy in Prescott Valley, Ariz., isn’t licensed in California.
