Students in Puerto Rico schools and colleges really have it good. They receive bilingual education, they earn their career education in a veritable paradise, and they have one of the most interesting histories in the New World. In fact, about a decade ago, Puerto Rico schools and colleges celebrated the 500th anniversary of Columbus? landing in 1943. Since then, this 100 by 34 mile-wide island has seen countless wars and territorial exchanges. For the past 50 years, however, Puerto Rico has enjoyed relative peace, and people have increasingly flocked to the Isle of Enchantment to pursue their career or education.
