Cardiovascular Technology Schools

Training in cardiovascular technology can usually be completed as part of a two-year online or on-campus degree program. The first year at school gives you a broad education, while the second year focuses in on cardiovascular technology training. In cardiovascular technology degree programs, you can choose to specialize in non-invasive vascular technology, non-invasive cardiovascular technology, or invasive cardiovascular technology. Non-invasive vascular technologists help doctors to diagnose and treat circulation problems in their patients. Non-invasive cardiovascular technologists work with equipment such as ultrasound machines to run tests on patients. Invasive cardiovascular technologists help doctors who use catheters to get a closer look at the health of hearts. No matter which of the three specialties you choose, you can feel confident that you have picked an occupation that can greatly benefit your patients' health and lives.
